Advertising Campaign

Corpus Christi Comic Con, is a comic convention held in Corpus Christi, Texas. This convention offers everything from, comic book, movies and games, to celebrity guest and cosplay contest.

 The final solution for this project took well-known comic book characters and put them in a beach setting, using this to push the idea of a fun vacation to the coast for the convention and a break from the day to day. By using the beach/coastal setting as the main theme, I was able to create a fun and engaging solution, using well know comic book characters.

Social Media Ads

I created two sets of Instagram ads for the event. The first set of ads uses the graphics as a fun post to catch the viewers attention and peak their interest.

 
This set of ads, will announce the start of ticket sales and raise awareness of the upcoming event, without giving too much away.

This second set of ads will market the event using photos of the event, venue and celebrity guests, to help sell the overall experience of the convention.

Unique Promotional Items

As unique promotional items for the event, the event will be offering glass plaque trophies with each of the main event graphics. These plaques are fun and meant to serve as commemorative pieces for the attendees to collect and display.

These trophies can be obtained by purchasing a VIP ticket, with a limited run of 50 for each graphic, 150 in total. These trophies are strictly commemorative, for collecting and display, so there is no call to action necessary.

Guerrilla Marketing Tactic

As a guerrilla marketing tactic, Corpus Christi Comic Con will be partnering with La Palmera mall and Alamo Drafthouse to create a fun unique photo opportunity, to create awareness of the event and the availability of tickets for purchase.

The photo op. is a life-size action figure box, branded for CC Comic Con, where people may take photos and share on social media. It is a fun and unique way to market the event in high traffic areas, to promote the upcoming event for potential attendees.

30 Second Radio Spot

This radio spot was created following the lively coastal theme of the campaign, with a fun and energetic background song, to add to the audio experience. This radio spot is intended to reach the target audience by streaming on music and podcast streaming apps.
